Initial Weeks of SRD

This is honestly, the first experience I've had had blogging, seeing a blog- or even knowing that blog pages exist. I however intend the following blog to be a record of our SRD 264 Design Class, and use it to document thought process's and design idea and reflect on varies learning stages over the coming weeks.

Having already completed the first design project for the semester, Minima- This blog has some catching up to do. As I type we are in the beginnings of starting the Domus group project- an extension of the design principles explored in Minima. While Minima explored the concepts of minimum space and carefully linked Architecture and environmental design principles with the human form and basic principles of order, movement, form, function and flow. Domus aims to extend these basic principles to a larger dwelling, completely autonomous- intended to house 4 permanent residents and up to 8 (!!!!) guests! Our Domus will be located in Kakadu and as such will need to interact with the climate/ landscape and culture of its location.
